I turn the mic to Roland Vogl, Executive Director of CodeX—The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics. We will have three presentations this week, bound to be of interest to our CodeX community! —Monica Bay. (Updated.)
Our next CodeX meeting is this Thursday (Nov. 9), from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. in Room N102 of the Neukom building of Stanford Law School (or via Zoom link below).
Our guests will be:
Nextlaw Labs is a business accelerator focused on reinventing the business and practice of law through technology. It invests and builds strategic partnerships with startups, leading tech companies, and accelerators focused on transforming the legal profession worldwide. Dentons’ 8,000 attorneys in 50+ countries serve as the lab’s testing ground to vet, pilot, and scale portfolio products and services. Maya will be presenting remotely.
The presenters will describe how their experimentation with smart contracts as a replacement for paper contracts, and the limitations encountered as a result, led to the creation of LegalThings One, a platform that empowers users to automate regulations or agreements as “Live Contracts” on the blockchain. Rick and Arnold will be presenting remotely.
Tali is a voice-enabled productivity assistant, powered by artificial intelligence, allowing lawyers and other professionals to track their time using voice commands.
Tali integrates with a variety of third-party invoicing and billing systems, minimizing or eliminating manual time entry. Matthew will be presenting from our meeting room at Stanford Law School.
See you them!
