ADVICE FOR ALL

Zach Warren, editor-in-chief of Legaltech news, was our guest for the January edition of  Law Technology Now podcast (Legal Talk Network).

CodeX @ Legalweek 6

What’s Happening at Legalweek 2018,” is the title, and Warren offered an excellent overview of the details about the conference. His suggestions were especially helpful for newbies, who can easily get overwhelmed the first time they attend.  Our discussion includes hot topics that will be covered, such as blockchain and cybersecurity.

ADVICE FOR NEW ATTENDERS

Legalweek has five “areas of focus,” the biggest and oldest is the Legaltech. Others are LegalCIO, LegalMarketing, LegalDiversity & Talent Management, and Business of Law Forum. This year, the show kicks off with three “Bootcamps,” on the 29th, addressing Artificial Intelligence; In-House Leadership and SmallFirm Business.

The legaltech division will include keynotes, educational tracks (most from vendors), receptions (ditto), and of course, the massive Exhibit Hall.

But there’s always one piece of advice for everyone — the first-timers to the seniors — the most important thing to remember is to bring very, very comfortable shoes.
