Meet CodeX: Legal Empowerment through Information Technology

 

Hi Everyone,

Our next CodeX meeting is this Thursday (Feb. 28), from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., in pacific time, in Room N112 of the Neukom Building of the Stanford Law School.

Jason Morris, co-founder, Lemma Legal Consulting.

Jason was named American Bar Association (ABA) Innovation Fellow for the 2018/2019 year for his project, docassemble-openicbr  which implements reasoning by analogy to prior cases in an open source legal expert system tool.

John Tiseley, CEO and co-founder, Iconic Translations Machines. Iconic provides artificial intelligence-powered machine translation for e-discovery so that law firms and practitioners may handle multilingual electronically stored information in a fast, effective, and secure manner.

Jiarui Liu, founder, BCE.IO.  The Blockchain Copyright Exchange (BCE) aims to dramatically improve the efficiency and accuracy of copyright transactions by hard-coding thousands of copyright rules and license terms in blockchain-based smart contracts.
