Your “first seat at the table” and how you did that experience influence you?”

The second answer: “As a young attorney with the in Baltimore City, I was the lead attorney for a division that focused solely on child support owed by low income parents.

Whether it was negotiating with the agency for policy changes, litigating in court or testifying on legislation, I was often the only one who represented the perspective of Deadbroke not Deadbeat Dads. It showed me the importance of the most marginalized in our society having a voice and that poverty was never as clear cut and the complications of people’s lives played out in many ways that exacerbated the challenges they faced on a day to day basis. Work tips re: “managing up:” Listen for clues. People will often express themselves in ways that you can incorporate their ideas so that everyone feels heard and valued.

Dress codes? In legal tech, we straddle the world of legal and tech and thus conservative and innovative. Dress with style and always be ready to enter a meeting with confidence.
