Hi Everyone,

Our next CodeX meeting is this Thursday (Sept 19), from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pacific. It will be in Room N112 of the Neukom Building of Stanford Law School.

Our guests:

Anna Haapanen, Partner, Head of Technology, Co-head of Intellectual Property, Dittmar & Indrenius Attorneys, Ltd. Dittmar & Indrenius is a Finnish business law firm focusing on technology/IP, transactions, and disputes. The firm offers strategic legal advice for companies dealing with innovations transforming their business, including new digital business models, fintech, and blockchain.

Andréa Naccacheinnovation and crisis management consultant, psychoanalyst, and lawyer, is currently a PhD candidate in philosophy of law at the University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil. Ms. Naccache will argue that ethical decisions may be as complex as the “algorithmically random” defined by Gregory Chaitin, and will consider how a theory of justice for algorithms might be derived.

See you then!
