Investing in a New Climate

After 15 years of innovation that was foundational to Stanford’s clean energy education, research, dialogue, and related policy work, the Steyer-Taylor Center closes its doors as its term endowment comes to an end. We remain grateful to Stanford alumni Tom Steyer and Kat Taylor for their vision in establishing the Center. Some of STC’s work lives on through the research of its former fellows and Stanford’s Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFI).

Investing in a New Climate

To succeed in a changing climate, investors must understand their exposure to climate risk and the investment opportunities that will arise during the transition to a low-carbon global economy. Designed and led by Deputy Director Alicia Seiger, the Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy and Finance’s Investing in a New Climate roundtable series aims to help asset owners develop climate-wise portfolio management strategies. The events in this series bring together investors, Stanford faculty and researchers, and best-in-class practitioners, to engage in a fact-based, action-oriented conversation.
