Professor Jennifer Chacón will moderate a program that examines current efforts at the federal, state and local level to limit or ban refugee resettlement as well as advocates’ responses to these efforts. The speakers include Cecillia Wang, director of the ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project, and Nasrina Bargzie, the National Security and Civil Rights Project Director at Advancing Justice Asian Law Caucus.

She is a nationally recognized expert on issues at the intersection of immigration and criminal law, including state anti-immigrant laws, racial profiling and other unlawful police practices relating to immigration enforcement. Nasrina Bargzie leads the Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Asian Law Caucus’s National Security and Civil Rights Program.
