Transgender, Gender-Variant & Intersex Pro Bono Project

Description:

The Transgender Gender-Variant & Intersex Pro Bono Project supports transgender and gender diverse people. We support individual clients by assisting them in filing for name and gender marker changes and informing them of their rights. We also conduct research and create informational and advocacy materials about legal issues impacting TGI people, such as anti-queer and trans bills and trans prison policies. Students will have flexibility about which projects they want to get involved with. This pro bono project is ideal for anyone passionate about trans advocacy, and it is also a great fit for students looking to gain exposure to a variety of skills, such as legal research and direct client services, that can be applied in other experiences and areas of interest.
