Biography
Andrea is a Research Fellow (Computational Science) at the RegLab. She graduated from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) with a B.A. in Economics, and from Stanford University with a M.S. in Data Science in 2022. She brings a diverse background from the corporate, finance and nonprofit sectors. As part of the credit risk team at JPMorgan Chase & Co., she evaluated the credit profiles of Mexican corporates, financial institutions and government agencies. In 2020, she served as a Research Associate at Innovations for Poverty Action, where she conducted research to understand the relationship between violence and crime, and the consumption of entertainment goods in Mexico. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Andrea led in the creation of Ruta COVID, an online platform to inform users about their likelihood of having contracted the virus. In her free time, Andrea enjoys horse-back riding, biking, and listening to classical and latin music.
