Biography
Amy Tovar is Senior Vice President & General Counsel for the San Francisco Giants. She works on a wide range of matters involving baseball operations, league relations, business transactions, corporate governance, government affairs, litigation, intellectual property, real estate, and strategic planning. She is a member of the Giants DE&I Council and is the executive sponsor of the Giants’ women’s network.
Prior to joining the Giants, Amy served in the Obama Administration at the U.S. Department of Transportation as Associate General Counsel. Before that, she worked as a litigator at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP and clerked for the Hon. Joel Flaum on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She sits on the board of directors of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a founder of Bay FC, the Bay Area’s professional women’s soccer team.
Amy received her J.D. from Stanford Law School and her A.B. in Political Science and American Studies from Stanford University.
