Since retiring from teaching at Santa Clara University School of Law, Stephanie Wildman has embraced a new career as a children’s book author. Her fourth and fifth books came out this fall. Ghost Writer (co-authored with Cecilia Populus-Eudave) tells the tale of twins Flor and Roberto and their big brother Luis who combine Halloween and Dia de los Muertos traditions to honor their deceased dog Julio.

Miri’s Moving Day (co-authored with Adam Ryan Chang) follows young Miri, who will miss the Chinese lions in front of her apartment building when her family moves. Fortunately, Zayde, her Jewish grandfather, and Yeh Yeh, her Chinese grandfather, have some surprises to help her feel at home in her new apartment. Wildman’s other books include Privilege Repealed: How Invisible Preference Undermines America and Race and Races: Cases and Resources for a Diverse America.
Praise (for Miri’s Moving Day): “A sweet story of a family blending traditions.” —Kirkus Reviews
