Richard Mosher
Biography
Richard “Rich” Mosher is a seasoned attorney and technology law leader with deep expertise at the crossroads of corporate governance, global regulatory compliance, and privacy in complex digital ecosystems. He currently serves as Vice President & Deputy General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer at Roblox Corporation, where he oversees privacy strategy, international legal frameworks, risk mitigation, and legal operations supporting a global platform used by millions.
Before joining Roblox’s executive legal team in 2021, Rich held senior legal leadership roles across the technology sector, including as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Wind River, where he guided legal strategy for advanced software in high-reliability systems, and as Head of Corporate Development at Ring (acquired by Amazon). His career spans critical legal functions in emerging and scale-stage tech companies, covering M&A and corporate development, intellectual property and licensing, SEC compliance, and cross-border regulatory matters.
Rich began his legal journey in private practice, handling litigation and transactional matters before moving in-house to lead legal teams at technology firms navigating rapid growth and market transitions. He draws on rich experience advising boards and executive leadership, shaping legal frameworks that support both innovation and compliance in dynamic legal environments.
He earned his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and holds a B.A. in English Literature and Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. Rich is a member of the State Bar of California and remains actively engaged in legal discourse on privacy, technology regulation, and corporate legal strategy.
