In October 2025, California Governor Gavin Newsom appointed 12 judges in nine counties, including Vivian Wang who will serve as a judge in the San Mateo County Superior Court. Prior to her appointment, Wang was a deputy attorney general at the California Department of Justice. She also served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of California.
