“Body-worn cameras for ICE are an essential tool for uncovering the truth and for achieving even a small and insufficient measure of accountability,” Lucas Guttentag, who runs the Immigration Policy Tracking Project and is a professor at Stanford Law, told Newsweek.

“Regardless of one’s views on ICE generally, requiring law enforcement agencies to be humane, competent, and responsible law enforcement is a non-negotiable bare minimum,” Guttentag said. “Lacking that, we are forced instead to struggle for after-the-fact honest investigations and accountability.
