Promoting Peace in Israel-Palestine
Join us for a conversation with two inspiring peacebuilders – one Palestinian, one Israeli – dedicated to promoting a peaceful resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Although they are each deeply connected to their Israeli Jewish and Palestinian communities, they reject both the status quo in Israel-Palestine and the division and polarization that characterize much of the discourse about the situation in the region. These peacemakers from the PeaceWorks movement reject the dehumanizing “us vs. them” narratives that sow conflict and division and instead advocate for a shared future that unlocks the full potential of both peoples and ensures a Middle East where all can live in safety and dignity. They also seek to empower voices that foster depolarization in the discourse in order to build support for actionable solutions that promote Israeli-Palestinian coexistence.
Lunch will be provided.
