Discussion (1L): The Law and Politics of International Migration (243C): This seminar will introduce students to the legal frameworks governing international migration, and a range of competing political theories of just borders. It will do so through the study of a series of contemporary and historical case studies of contentious international migrations, including the forced displacement of refugees. Elements used in grading: Full attendance, reading of assigned materials, and active participation. Class meets: 4:00 PM-6:00 PM on Oct. 1, Oct. 8, Oct. 29, Nov. 12.
