Biography
Colin is the founder of the Opioid Crisis Response Fund (OCRF). He leads the development and execution of OCRF’s strategic and operational goals.
Colin has been in recovery since 2009.
Colin is the social entrepreneur in-residence at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business for the 2019-20 academic year. He is being hosted by the university’s Center for Social Innovation as he scales up the work of OCRF.
Prior to OCRF, Colin was a FUSE Executive Fellow in the Allegheny County Health Department. In that role, he spearheaded the development of the agency’s response to the opioid overdose epidemic in Pittsburgh and +130 surrounding municipalities.
In all, Colin has 20 years of experience bridging the private-sector and non-profit. He worked in biotechnology venture capital for Patricof & Co. Ventures, and as part of the team that carried the biotech start-up Affymax, Inc. through a $100MM initial public offering. Colin has been a strategic adviser to many US and international non-profits, including: Covenant House Alaska, the United Farm Workers Foundation, Kickstart International (on-site in Tanzania), and Faces & Voices of Recovery.
Colin completed a B.A. at Georgetown University, and an M.B.A. at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
