Overview

The Lab would work with the San Francisco Mayor’s Office, helping create the structure for a new “Our Children, Our Families Council” that was established by a recent amendment to the City’s charter. It is tasked with coordinating the City’s efforts, and aligning with the SF Unified School District, to better support children, youth and families. In the lab, we would look at other places that have established children’s councils in order to see how they are made to work most effectively, examine the current landscape of policy activity related to children, youth and families in SF, and help shape initial structures and plans for the Council.
