John Relman discusses how his recent civil rights litigation demonstrate the ways in which segregated communities of color are exploited and how that exploitation is made possible by historic discrimination. His recent cases have centered on reverse redlining in the mortgage markets of Memphis and Baltimore and the student lending market in Richmond, VA. John Relman also won a huge civil rights victory on behalf of a mixed-race community in Zanesville, Ohio who had been denied water service for over 50 years.
