Currently enrolled SLS students (JDs and joint degree students) are encouraged to submit a paper they have written while enrolled in law school for consideration for the American Justice Institute Criminal Justice Essay Prize. The topic can be any issue related to criminal or juvenile justice policy. In the spirit of the sponsor’s intent to foster original student scholarship and research ideas, papers submitted in response to midterm or final examinations are not eligible for submission. Three prizes of $1500 each will be awarded. All currently enrolled SLS students (JDs and joint degree students). Only original and previously unpublished papers are eligible.
