Join ACS for a Beyond the Doctrine talk with Professor Lucas Guttentag, a series that explores open questions within current legal doctrine.

Professor Guttentag founded the ACLU’s Immigrant Rights Project and led it for twenty-five years before serving in senior policy positions with the federal government. He will explain how immigration law has evolved over the course of his career, the trajectory of the doctrine going forward, and why immigration is one of the most pressing civil rights issues of our time. He will also discuss a positive vision of our immigration system and how advocates can strive to realize it.
