Kelsey Skaggs, Executive Director of Climate Defense Project, works with climate change activists who want to use the legal system. She will discuss the role of nonviolent civil disobedience in the current political situation and how the climate movement is using this tactic. Kelsey will also discuss the role of lawyers in the climate movement and how lawyers can become involved in working for climate justice. Her approach is focused on emerging climate law arguments and on recognizing the intersectional nature of the climate crisis.
