Come and meet Jason Kenney, Canada’s Immigration Minister in Silicon Valley promoting Canada’s new Start-Up Visa Program - the first of its kind in the world featuring active partnerships with angel investor groups and venture capital firms, and offering unconditional permanent residency up-front.
There has been considerable media interest in the Start-Up Visa program in the US, contrasting Canada’s Start-Up Visa approach to the frustration surrounding the current H-1B lottery system in the United States and the immigration process for entrepreneurs and start-ups. This lecture will provide a great opportunity for students and the Stanford community to learn about the advantages of doing business in Canada.
