Here is more information about the program:
Are you interested in a hands-on, live-client experience promoting systematic social change for course and ABA credit, working in teams of law, business, education, and policy graduate students from across the country? Would you like to improve the lives of under-served children across the US and Brazil, while developing transactional, institutional design, management, and problem-solving skills valued by large law firms, public agencies, and social reform advocates worldwide? Are you hoping to use your legal skills to restructure public institutions like school, criminal justice, welfare and environmental regulatory systems to better serve the under-served? Are you curious about what it is like to work as a legally trained change agent in the public or social sector?
The Center for Public Research and Leadership’s (CPRL) intensive interdisciplinary program in public education policy combines a research and consulting project, an academic seminar on structural change in public education, professional skills development, and networking and job opportunities. CPRL student projects serve school districts, education departments, non-profits and foundations driving transformational change in public education and improved outcomes for all children. CPRL offers a limited number of awards up to $30,000 toward students’ home tuition.
