Earlier this year, a member of the Stanford community donated his kidney to a stranger, setting off a chain of donations that saved 13 lives. What motivates someone to donate an organ to a stranger? What is the process like, and what concerns does it raise? On Wednesday, May 30, BioLaw and the Center for Law and the Biosciences will host two organ donors (including the aforementioned kidney donor) and a transplant surgeon to discuss the organ donation experience and the issues it raises.
This event is free and open to the public, and will include lunch. Please join us.
