CRISPR Therapeutics is a Switzerland-based company with R&D operations in Cambridge. It was founded in 2013 by Rodger Novak, Emmanuelle Charpentier (co-inventor of CRISPR/Cas9), and Shaun Foy with the mission of developing gene-editing based therapeutics for serious diseases.
Mr. Biro is a registered patent attorney with approximately 20 years of corporate and law firm experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He has worked for small, mid-size and large biopharmaceutical companies, and has also worked for large law firms representing all types of clients. Mr. Biro’s practice focuses on intellectual property protection and enforcement, contracts, regulatory, corporate and general legal matters. Mr. Biro’s regulatory experience includes advising on the Hatch-Waxman Act and the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act, and advising on issues regarding FDA regulatory requirements. His corporate experience includes business development, human resources, SEC, insurance, drafting policies and procedures, and general risk management.
