Directors' College 2013 Brochure
For the third time in Brazil, and for the first time in partnership with Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV), the Stanford Rock Center for Corporate Governance, a joint initiative of Stanford Law School and the Graduate School of Business at Stanford, will be co-hosting a Directors' College program in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Directors' College Brazil 2013 will bring together leading Stanford and FGV Faculty, CEOs, board members, practitioners and regulators, for a rigorous and balanced examination of corporate governance, strategy and compliance. The program will be an intensive one-day program for directors and senior executives of Brazilian public and private firms. The curriculum will address a broad range of problems that confront modern boards in Brazil including the governance responses to capital market evolution; the role of institutional investors & agency capitalism; the role of the independent director in controlled companies; a new case study on governance responses to distressed companies, and boardroom dynamics.
The program is designed to generate practical “takeaway” pointers that can be responsibly applied to a broad range of boardroom concerns.
