Open to: Stanford Law School students, CS students, GSB students. Register by December 3, 2019

Hands-on accelerated course on artificial intelligence and law & ethics to equip students to explore, and then build in small teams, disruptive innovations in growth areas like:

Autonomous Vehicles          Blockchain and Smart Contracts          Internet of Things

Big Data and Predictive Analytics          Automated Professional Services

  • 2-day workshop, Saturday, Jan. 11 – Sunday, Jan. 12 @ Stanford Law School (9:30-5 pm both days)
  • Required pre-event team formation workshop on Thursday, Jan. 9 (8-10 am)

Space is limited. This class is free and only for Stanford Law, CS/Engineering, and GSB students.

What does it take to innovate and build companies in high growth areas? How do artificial intelligence and computational technologies (machine learning, natural language processing, blockchain) impact innovation? How do you properly address privacy considerations, prevent bias, and comply with law, regulation, and ethical standards to ensure that disruptive growth in this field is sustainable and not short-lived?

You will explore these questions in this class, while you work in a small team to build a startup idea in one of these exponential innovation areas. You will then pitch your idea to a panel of VCs and AI entrepreneurs at the finale. No prior knowledge of AI or exponential innovations is necessary.

The workshop is taught by:
