Please join the Stanford Federalist Society as we welcome Judge Andrew Oldham of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.  A former Justice Alito clerk, Judge Oldham received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia, a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, and his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.  Judge Oldham will discuss the importance of studying the Anti-Federalist Papers.  The authors of those papers shared many viewpoints—and did not share many others—with their Federalist counterparts. Given that both sides predicated their arguments on predictive judgments of the future, their arguments merit scrutiny today as much as they did in 1787.
