How does a democracy committed to international law fight terrorist organizations that systematically and purposely violate that law? What are some of the unique challenges – operational and legal – that Israel faces in its war against Hamas? What is the IDF doing to mitigate civilian harm and alleviate humanitarian strife? How did Israel defend itself against allegations of genocide before the International Court of Justice in The Hague? What was the court’s decision? How do recent developments in the case at the International Criminal Court impact the situation, and where are we heading now?
