Global Perspective: Challenges to US Legal and Political Institutions, Where Do We Go From Here?

Trump’s presidency posed serious challenges to American legal and political institutions, culminating in the violent events at the United States Capitol while Congress certified the 2020 election results on January 6. Where do we go from here? This panel will draw upon the expertise of academics who have deep experience studying and advancing democratic reform and rule of law outside the US, to reflect on what we have experienced and the road ahead.
