Maxwell Peltz of the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau will explain the work of the bureau and talk about opportunities available to students for summer and post-graduate employment. The CFPB has offices in D.C. and across the United States, including San Francisco. Mr. Peltz will also take part in our Mock Interview Program for 1Ls later this day.
Maxwell Peltz has worked in the CFPB’s Office of Enforcement since June 2012. Before joining the CFPB, Max was an Assistant District Attorney at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted consumer, environmental and white collar cases. Mr. Peltz earned his B.A. from Stanford University and J.D. from Yale Law School.
Joining Mr. Peltz will be Ms. Alanna Carbis, an Enforcement Attorney with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Prior to joining the Bureau, Ms. Carbis worked for five years at WilmerHale in Washington, DC and Palo Alto. She is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School and a former clerk for Judge Damon J. Keith on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Detroit, Michigan.
