In just three short decades, China has emerged as a global power, whose peaceful rise has already made it the world’s second largest (and arguably the most vibrant) economy. Most experts agree that China will become the world’s largest economy by the middle of the 21st century. Given this massive transformation, the rule of law in China is an increasingly important question and will be crucial to China’s future stability and prosperity and its constructive engagement in international politics and the global economy. Please join fellow Stanford alumni and friends in Hong Kong for dim sum and discussion of this important topic with Stanford Law School Dean Larry Kramer.
This Stanford event celebrates our growing community of alumni and friends in Hong Kong, and is being graciously hosted by Mr. Geoffrey Chan, JD ’04. There is no charge to attend and guests are welcome.
