In a recent article in The Nation, Russ Feingold outlined several potential threats to American democracy.  In this talk, Feingold will expand on his article’s thesis, speaking directly about the leadership role of lawyers in the face of these threats.  In particular, Feingold will discuss legal profession’s role in fighting to protect the right to vote, to advocate for campaign finance reform, and to critically assess the electoral college system and the recent selection process for the Supreme Court vacancy.
