The Deborah L. Rhode Center on the Legal Profession and the Neukom Center for the Rule of Law present this panel exploring the critical role lawyers play in societies where democracy and the rule of law are under threat. Panelists, including famed election law attorney Marc Elias and Stanford Law Supreme Court Clinic Co-Directors Easha Anand and Brian Fletcher, will discuss current challenges facing American lawyers and illuminate strategies for upholding justice and the rule of law amid increasing restrictions, including the protection of voting rights, the separation of powers, and the independence of the legal profession. The discussion will be moderated by Professor Nora Freeman Engstrom.
