Join APILSA for a conversation on race, civil liberties, and national security as we revisit a darkly relevant chapter in American history: the WWII internment of Japanese Americans.
Our speakers: Stanford Professor Stephen Sano, who teaches in the Music and Asian American Studies departments, and Bob Rusky and Marjie Barrows, both members of the coram nobis legal team responsible for vacating Fred Korematsu’s conviction 40 years after his landmark case challenging internment.
Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP here.
