The rainmakers. Those exalted members of the law firm who are known for bringing in the biggest clients, the most lucrative matters, the best work. What kind of people are they? How did they get where they are? Could you be a future rainmaker?
The Center on the Legal Profession is pleased to present a panel discussion on the personal and professional qualities of rainmakers with focused advice to law students on how to develop these qualities in yourself and your practice. Highlighting the findings of “The Rainmaker Study” by Lawyer Metrics, the panel will delve into issues such as networking, client service, thought leadership, and pitches. The panelists are: Michelle Banks, Former Global General Counsel Gap Inc., Gordy Davidson, SLS alum and senior corporate partner at Fenwick & West LLP, Colleen Davies, senior litigation partner at Reed Smith, and Pat Gillette, former employment litigation partner at Orrick and special consultant on The Rainmaking Study.
