The Northern California Clinical Conference brings together clinical faculty from Golden Gate University, John F. Kennedy, McGeorge School of Law, Santa Clara University, Stanford University, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Hastings, and University of San Francisco to discuss recent developments and strategies in clinical law teaching.

This Year’s Theme: Reflection

One of the most frequently stated goals of clinical education is to instill in our students habits of “reflective lawyering.” During this year’s gathering, we will explore what this means and how we, as instructors, can best generate reflection among our students. We will be tackling this subject with the assistance of experts from other disciplines, as well as colleagues from legal clinics. In addition to the plenary sessions, there will be two opportunities for participants to try out new skills in small working groups. As always, the Northern California Clinical Conference also provides an opportunity to meet new clinicians in our community and learn about the new projects and initiatives being offered by our area’s clinics.
