Since the New Deal, the administrative state has played an increasingly important role in American law and policy. But as judges and Supreme Court Justices appointed by President Trump begin to fill the federal judiciary, new questions about that project are beginning to arise. What will be the future of the administrative state, given that a growing number of judges are skeptical about some of its key features? And what kind of controversies about the topic can we expect in the future? Join the Constitutional Law Center for a discussion of these questions with Daniel B. Rodriguez, former dean of Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.

Daniel B. Rodriguez Harold Washington Professor of Law, Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law Daniel served as dean of the law school from 2012-2018. Prof. Rodriguez’s principal academic work is in the areas of administrative law, local government law, statutory interpretation, federal and state constitutional law, and the law-business-technology interface. He has held numerous academic appointments, and is a visiting professor at both Stanford Law School and Harvard Law School during the 2018-19 academic year. |
