Join Stanford Law Students for Justice in Palestine for a lunch event with George Bisharat, Professor of Law at UC Law San Francisco, and Astha Sharma Pokharel, Staff Attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR).

The speakers will discuss the three Palestine-related cases currently at the International Court of Justice (South Africa v. Israel, Nicaragua v. Germany, and the UN General Assembly’s advisory opinion request), as well as CCR’s recent federal litigation against the United States for facilitating genocide in Gaza (Defense for Children International – Palestine v. Biden, No. 23-CV-05829-JSW, 2024 WL 390061 (N.D. Cal. Jan. 31, 2024) (dismissal under political question doctrine appealed to the Ninth Circuit).
