Public Interest Practice Overview: Nonprofit and Private Plaintiffs’ Side Firm Practice

This is the first panel of a series of panels providing 1L students with an overview of public interest practice. Attorneys from nonprofits and private public interest firms will discuss their careers and answers questions at this session. Future sessions will feature attorneys in government practice (both civil and criminal).
The panelists will be Emily Maglio, SLS JD '09 (Associate at Leonard Carder); Victoria Ni (Senior Attorney at Public Justice); Jory Steele (Managing Attorney of the ACLU-Northern California Legal Department as well as the Director of the Education Equity Project); and Jason Tarricone, SLS JD '06 (Senior Staff Attorney at Community Legal Service of East Palo Alto.
This is a brown bag lunch so students should bring their own lunch.
