Consumer virtual reality is still in its infancy, but it has the potential to be a transformative new platform, such as the mobile phone or personal computer that came before. These developments have intriguing implications for media, gaming, social, law, entrepreneurship and society more broadly. What lessons can we learn today, and what will be the impact of these virtual and augmented reality technologies powered by companies such as Magic Leap and Oculus? Join us for an event where we will reflect on these questions with Eugene Chung, who was Head of Film & Media at Oculus VR — acquired by Facebook last year. Eugene was the Executive Producer of Lost, the first VR narrative production by Oculus Story Studio. Eugene is currently Creative Director at Penrose Studios, a studio focused on augmented and virtual reality. He was previously at New Enterprise Associates and Pixar Animation Studios, and he holds an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar.
