Join the Stanford Rock Center for Corporate Governance for the next installment of Rock Center 50 Minutes, featuring a conversation with Comfort Ero, President and CEO of the International Crisis Group, hosted by Rock Center Fellow Kimathi Marangu.

As the United Nations prepares for a leadership transition amid mounting global challenges, what role can it play in preventing conflict, responding to humanitarian crises, and maintaining international stability?

Drawing on the International Crisis Group’s recent special briefing 10 Challenges for the United Nations in 2026-2027, the conversation will explore the UN’s often underappreciated contributions, the consequences when international cooperation falters, and the opportunities and challenges facing its next Secretary-General.
