Ilissa Samplin is a partner in Gibson Dunn’s Los Angeles office and Co-Chair of the firm’s Media, Entertainment and Technology Practice Group. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and trials, entertainment and technology disputes, and intellectual property litigation. She has represented major studios, networks, and media companies including AMC, Warner Bros. Television, and SoundCloud, securing a complete bench trial victory for AMC in profit participation litigation over The Walking Dead and currently representing Warner Bros. Television in the dispute over The Pitt. She has been named to The Hollywood Reporter’s “Power Lawyers” list, Billboard’s “Top Music Lawyers” list, and Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Global Entertainment, Sports, and Media Lawyers. Ilissa is also a Stanford Law School alumna and a former President of SESLA.
