Are you interested in getting your work published in a law journal, but not sure what that entails or where to start? On behalf of Volume 75 of the Stanford Law Review, we are inviting all students (including 1Ls!) to attend a student panel, Stanford Law Review Notes 101, on Monday, May 2nd from 12:45pm-2pm. Lunch will be provided.
The goal of this panel is to discuss what a Note is, ways to brainstorm ideas for a Note, the available support for writing a Note, and what the submission and publication process entails—including what the SLR Notes Committee looks for in submissions.
The panel will include members from this year’s Notes Committee (the group that selects Notes for publication) and Note authors who have had their work featured in the Stanford Law Review, Stanford specialty journals, and other publications. Our hope is to provide valuable perspectives and advice for anyone interested in writing a Note.
