The Stanford-Rotman Corporate Governance Day: Major Challenges in Today’s Boardrooms is an executive education program for directors and senior executives of US and Canadian companies that include hot topics and best practices relevant to both US and Canadian board directors.
The 2015 program will address a broad range of trends and challenges that confront modern boards in both Canada and the United States, such as cybersecurity threats, executive and director compensation and the rising power of the founders in Silicon Valley through the use of dual class share structures.
The Stanford-Rotman Corporate Governance Day: Major Challenges in Today’s Boardrooms brings together leading Stanford and Rotman faculty, CEOs, directors, regulators, jurists and scholars for a rigorous and balanced examination of corporate governance in the US and Canada.
This program may be eligible for up to 5.75 substantive hours for your annual CPD requirements.
The program will consist of a number of keynote speakers and panel discussion on the following topics:
- Executive Director Compensation
- Cybersecurity: What Do We Know?
- Short Term/Long Term Thinking in Corporations
- The Rising Power of the Founders in Silicon Valley and the Use of Dual Class Share Structures
Esteemed panelists featured Stanford faculty, Rotman faculty, experience board members, and experts in corporate governance. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session during each panel.
