SLS psychologist Dr. Sonia Amin and the Stanford Confidential Support Team invite you to join us in a sushi making event! You will learn how to roll your own sushi, using traditional bamboo mats.
Mari Kugoh Evers, CST counselor, who is originally from Japan, will demonstrate how to make home style sushi rolls, which is great for practicing self-care and mindful eating. This event will be a space to make connections with other students in the law school community. We will be making cucumber rolls, avocado rolls, and Philadelphia rolls with smoked salmon (vegetarian option is available).
Sushi rolling activities will be followed by mochi and tea. Dr. Sonia Amin, SLS psychologist, invites you to a conversation after the sushi-making, to explore ways to identify signs of emotional distress and regulate our emotions in more adaptive ways. Let’s roll!
Capacity limited to first 20 who sign up (with a ranked wait list).
