In May, the Stanford Energy Club is putting on its annual Energy Showcase. This year we are focusing on the topic of energy access in the developing world. We will host three events on consecutive Thursdays to explore the topics of Finance, Policy, and Technology. To highlight the interdisciplinary nature of energy, we're hoping to host each event in conjunction with a different student group and in a different area of campus.
The Policy Night of the Energy Showcase will feature a 4-person panel plus a moderator. So far panelists include David Nelson of the Climate Policy Initiative and Daniel Kammen, a professor at UC Berkeley. Each panelist will provide a brief overview of the country in which they have expertise (e.g. what policies have been attempted, what has worked, what hasn't, etc.) before we jump into what we hope will be a lively panel discussion.
