Google Patents Data Science Team is one of the first data science teams embedded directly within a legal team and focused squarely on unlocking business value from legal data through applied AI, analytics, and tooling/system design.
For this two-part series, Mike Lee, Head of Google Global Patents and Steve Gong, Head of Data Science and Operations will share with the Stanford community the vision and the journey of Google Patents Data Science, the use cases and learnings of almost decade of on the ground work, as well as forward looking to the future where LLMs and other tech and design methodologies are applied to a legal team with bleeding edge data, operations and process infrastructure.
