The Overlooked Reality of Shareholder Activism in China: Defying Western Expectations
- This event has passed.
Please join the China Law and Policy Association (CLPA) for a lunch talk with Professor Dan Puchniak, Yong Pung How Professor of Law from Singapore Management University, discussing shareholder activism in China. In their newly published work by Harvard Business Law Review, Prof. Puchniak and his co-authors use unique hand-collected data to reveal that shareholder activism in China is thriving. Their findings challenge some prevailing “Western narratives” on China’s corporate governance, especially about the influence of the Chinese Communist Party over corporate governance.
